I Like Adobe

I Like Adobe

At least I better start liking it very soon. I’ve recently been granted access to the full Adobe suite of software products for a range of production needs, and from what I have heard so far, my first efforts with the CS3 versions of Premiere and After Effects have been received well. (U-CAP news coming soon)
That’s great, because now hopefully, there will be more work to come. And all those crazy ideas I’ve had will finally be able to manifest with the right tools at my disposal.

I’ve been working on identifying a set of skills to focus on. Of course I want to do everything, but… that is just not possible at this time. Maybe when I’m 80. Now I need to focus on what I should spend time developing and working with.

So far I have, in order:
1) Music/Sound Design
2) Motion/Video
3) Art-2d/print
4) 3d-models/textures

Only 4 humongous things. Yeah they’re big, but I believe I have a realistic approach to how they will develop. The first 2 are already on their way, especially now with my current job at Gearbox for #1 and some outside contract work for #2. I have a basic traditional art background for #3, beginning when I was young and with newer technology, I can see it going even further. #4 is something I’m “just okay” with but would really like to be able to get a better grasp of in a couple of years.

Hopefully things will continue to develop favorably and I should have some new stuff for the site in the next month or two.

Peace,
